    Tire sizing & offset question

My (now-infamous) 91 Escort GT rims have 45mm offset, what does this mean for tire sizing? I have option of getting 205/50/15 or 195/55/15, will one work and not the other? (work meaning not rub the interior of the well) If both will work then which one is thinner, the 195 one or the 205 one?

At first I was thinking, " oh crap" who's had done this in 15". Then it hit me, 89accordhb is running integra alloy's that have 45mm offset and I know he's also running 205/50-15's. And I've never seen or heard of him complaining about rubbing on the inside (not fender lip but on the inside, suspension), which is what you have to consider with 45mm offset.

Here's a link to send him a pm/email to ask him about it to double check. And I'll include a pic of his car with the rims on and 205's.
