ok i got an 87 honda accord hatch and i need to know how to advance the timing 2 degrees but the alternator doesnt spin its not adjustable so how do i advance it. ok i also herd somewhere on this site that if i get 89 accord stock exhaust manifold it will add a lil horse power because i guess the exhaust manifold is a lil wider so please tell me soon because i got to race a civic tomorow and i got to add some horse power with a lil money 50$ to be exact and got 1 day to do it so please helpppp!!!!!!!!

Just turn the distributor & look at it with a timing light. That is your best bet without an adjustable cam gear.

Did you loosen the hold down bolt or is the dist. frozen in place

it looks like theres two bolts that hold it in place

and u need the exaust mani out of a 89 lxi its a 4to2to1 instead of a 4to1

cam gears rule! i love mine....it pulls hard in ever gear...1 gear is just flys...and the damn rev limiter kicks in 2nd, 3rd, 4th are nothing also as long as you have it in high rpms...well just get your self a timing light and move the dizzy

it looks like theres two bolts that hold it in place

distributor is held with 2 bolts and one nut.
if you are going to advance it, advance it with timing light. without the light you won't know how much you have to advance.

exhaust manifold won't add much power to your stock engine. may be a little torque, but it won't be much.
with $50, get yourself K$N filter.

ok ill prolly get the k&n filter but i want to know will it do any thing if i get 89 exhaust mainifold?
