Question The Price on an alternator

I was just curious to see how much the general cost of an alternator is?

i got mine + installation for $130. i think you can get the alternator for like $80, unless you want to go to the junkyard. or.... if you ever plan on putting in a sound system, id buy a high performance alternator now.

Part is around $80-$100 plus your old one. You need to tell them whether it's carbed or FI; the connectors are different.

I got my last one at a place called West Coast Alternator and Startor (they specialize in these two )
anyways it was $75 from them plus $30 core (refunded upon return) and 30 day warranty.
It's cool, these shops can beef up your alternator too if you have a big system.

cause of the conversion, i got the altenator from the junk for $25. I would say go for the rebuilt one. dont get it from the junk if ur car is in good shape and there is no trial and error method.
