1988 Honda Accord LX-i Coupe 123k miles.
I just bought a Eclispe CD5030 installing this weekend.
Phil
I didn't get any pics, so here...
Clarion CZ309, really nice HU.
The trunk... The 5.4cu.ft. box doesn't seem like enough, or maybe it's my 40 in^2 port area, but it's not as loud as the Pathfinder, but still well above 140, which isn't loud enough for me, but I get a lot of jumpers (OUT!) durring demo's.
The rest is a Crunch PZi1600D with Streetwires 1/0awg kit. The 4 other speakers are 6 1/2" Street edge 2ways. They sounds pretty damn good for $30 a pair.
If anyone local wants a setup, I just got an Alpine MRV-100m and 2 Kicker 10's in a pretty nice bandpass (sealed untill you put it face-down on the floor, then it's 4th order) box that I can sell pretty cheap.
Bass like Base... Not fish.
I installed a Kenwood KDC-MP342U yesterday morning. I took pics of the install too! Will post them when I get to the required post count.
I just get a Clarion CZ309 for mine.Any way thanks for the info...Keep posting cont..............
It was only $140 for me. You could find them online for probably $120, but I don't know if that's with the warrenty I have. There are a couple things that I love about the Kenwood over this one, such as the seperate front AND rear high-pass fitlers, and Kenwood's remote is a pretty good size, which makes it harder to loose, and it take tripple-A's instead of those watch batteries.
The Clarion sounds really good, but the Sub-control isn't really street-beater orientated.
Bass like Base... Not fish.
first had the original stereo I think?
philips thing
Now using an other philips one because
casette player broke down on the old one
Thinking of buying a new one
the SONY CDX-GT24
both my parents have it and it's really good
Just put in Eclipse SE5000s & SE6900s (stock otherwise)...
Sounds better than the almost $400 pioneer hu/speakers setup I had in my impreza actually has more bass as well, for under $90.
Unreal how easy it is to change speakers on these cars!![]()
1989 Accord LX-I - Brembo f.Rotors, Hawk HP+ pads, ATE fluid
1996 Mustang Cobra #404 - somewhat stock
Can i post mine even if its not in a 3geez?
Last year i bought an Eclipse I think its CD3200 with eclipse 61/2" front speaker and soundstream lil wonder III amplifier.
Sounds good![]()

stock tape player with the casette-to-cd player cable FTW!
yea true, my ipod broke so i have to use cd player for now. I did have a cd player, 1000w amp, an 2 JBL 12"s. But when I blew my engine i sold it cuz i dont have a job. Now i put in my old stock casette player.
my eg right now i have the stock cassette deck with only the drivers door speaker hooked up.and it's driving me NUTS
as soon as i build brackets and a new cargo floor i'm running some early 6.5 alpine type-r coax's in the doors off either a clarion or pheonix gold 2ch, my clarion deck/eq and my 10" type-r out of my lx-i, and maybe some 6.5 lightning audio 3ways off my mini clarion in my quarters

My Accord, only car
Headunit - Pioneer DEH-something.. (120$ from Wal-Mart 2 years ago)
Front Speakers - Sony Xplod 5 1/4 3way speakers (red version)
Back Speakers - Sony Xplod 6.5 4way speakers (blueish version)
Subwoofer - Pioneer 10'' Champion Series thing (was like 50$), in a Scoshe box lol
Amp - Dual 200w (Wal-Mart brand thing)
Wires - Wal-Mart Scosche stuff, seems to work well enough.
Clearly I'm cheap, but the sub can be heard down the street with crisp bass.
Dunno, nobody has ever given me any suggestions for speakers/amps/subs so I just went and did it myself, minus the speakers and headunit, the sub/amp/wires/box cost me like 190$ so it was alright I guess.
