    Pics of my "deathaccord"

If you are wondering about the name, it got that nickname after i picked up one of my mates friends, who complained about having to sit in the backseat, and made some comment about my car being a "deathtrap".

I mean seriously, whats wrong with my backseat?

Its not like he had to sit on these!

Yup my roofliners a little crooked

Yes, my car is a little naked...

    Stage four weight reduction?

Looking in thru the boot between the subs

Too much time playing need for speed

in the end i gave up on this idea, couldnt drive photoshop!

Can anyone tell me why the 3gee has a fuckin illumination controller for the specific purpose of controlling the brightness of the dash and thats it??? surely a variable resistor would be sufficient!

My current gauge cluster setup, with all the comp modifying neon goodness inside the cover

My nice headunit, did anyone else here need to resort to a angle grinder to remove the stock stereo?

********Sorry for the split post, the forum software seems to take exception to more than ten pics per post ??WTF??

At least it looks decent from where i sit, and thats the most important thing!

It was dirty when i took this photo, and yes that is a unidentified prelude/integra i think front bumper cable tied to my accord!

Anyone care to comment on how i can improve this?

    Re: Pics of my "deathaccord"

yes it is 100% road legal!
And sadly it is a a20a2.

Let me fill you in on the shortened sad story.
first i had a entire cup of coke spill onto my backseat, i soaked up with towels, i then noticed my seat was damp later, i shrugged it off assuming it was due to the coke, but then i discovered it was a leak in the roof! the little rubber things by the top of the rear doors had hidden a giant rust spot, when my seat was removed, i found about 4 litres of water sitting under the seat, and the seat had to be cut out with a angle grinder because the middle bolt on the bottom seat had totally rusted beyond removal, before that, i had someone puke on the fucking door, the smell never came out of the fabric on the door so that was chucked, the front carpeting was never replaced after my stereo and amp wiring was thrown in, but fortunatly this is simply because of laziness rather than anything destructive/repulsive.

If your wondering about the legality of the removed door panel, according to my warrant of fitness center it is no problem whatsoever, because i dont have a back seat no one can sit by that door, and therefore noone is endangered by the sharp poky bits or otherwise injure themselves!

When I was in college, I managed to get drunk and throw up over the top of the dash, down into the defroster outlets of my friend's car. Whenever he would turn on the defrost, it would smell like puke. Thank goodness he was rich, because it didn't matter all that much to him...he just got another car...and traded it on a nice sunny day.

I dont know about other peoples reasons, but i picked the tacho up for $10 and seeing as it has a bright shift light, i set it to 5200 rpm, and placed it on a slight angle towards me, so rather than paying any attention to my tacho i can just keep my eyes where they should be, the road :P

Im kinda new to screwing with cars but has anyone noticed that if your tachos incorrectly wired, the engine will kickover but will refuse to fire?

if you hook up to the wrong side of the coil you take away the juice it needs.
Struck that one years ago on an old holden.
not really knockin the big tachos, just dont see the point.I found after a while i knew by the sound of the engine how hard its reving
if you want a shift light, you can get ones that you hook up just like a tach .

ummm, i'm not sure what to say. although your car reminds me of cheese's without any interior. except the cheesemobile didn't have bumper or any interior at all. not even speakers or anything.

DOOD ur cars the ..well no actually...yeah

okay anyways. How does the old a20a2 pull?? you should inject it!!!! Since your cars allready stripped it should be easy hahaha.

My cars stripped like yours.. prolly worcer, And i got a WOF with no backseat, I just have a dash at the moment.

My stock stereo came out by unscrewing the ash tray and undoing a screw at the back, But an angle grinder works fine

whats ur plans with this vehicle? Gunna fix her up? I hope so

    Re: Pics of my "deathaccord"

Yea im eventually going to fix it up, its just when i have the money to do it.
But then again, im sure one man alone can move mountains, as long as they are suitably financed, my biggest concern is the clutch on it, a nice replacement would be the first port of call, it seems ok most of the time and then out of the blue ittl go and do this, press clutch in and change gear, release clutch, then the clutch will bite and then release fully for a second like i had been standing on the clutch, and then ittl lock down again, which leaves me going wtf????
It dosent appear to be slipping and it only happens when im changing gear, also it only happens when i am changing up gears but TBH i dont know if this is something that is relevent to my problems or that it has just not yet done it to me the other way

yaboygotit, the lightning audio subs are 100% pure win, all i need is to get off my ass and stick my 6.5s into the front doors and wire them up to my 300 watt amp and ill be able to hear almost all the music again, well they are stuck in but i havnt wired em up to the amp, anyone else have to burn the back of the plastic speaker holder thing with a pocket blowtorch to get decent speakers to fit?

he criticizes my spelling and then says LURK MOAR? i didn't spell a word wrong i used an incorrect homonym in my two second blurb about how people like you should never own anything. the correct word would have been "allowed." and my statement stands.

hey cubert, ask lx-incredible i'm always a ray of sunshine!
