I sold my 86 4 door lxi. I'm in the market for either a coupe, or a hatchback.
Which has better handling ? i might be getting an 89 lxi coupe for a good deal.

Get a hatch, they are all around cooler IMHO

That's one thing I liked about the sedan I use to have, I had enough room for
myself, my girl and 3 of my friends. I Was told the longer wheelbase of the coupe provided
better handling. Wouldn't a shorter wheelbase have better handling ?

As far as I can see, they all have the same wheel base. Even the Aerodeck is the same. handling differences may be due to different weight distribution.
sedan > hatch > coupe > aerodeck
buy another sedan

good it was time to upgrade....get like a 88-89 hatch or something thoes things are a lil rare....look at legends or lostforawhile they got some crazy mods that you can do with them.

yup i agree on this one all ways, sedan FTW
coupe is stiffer and lighter. the wheelbase is the same with all of the cars. the hatch has a shorter body.
Its always fun to own hatches and coupes because they never expect it from a sedan. Get another sedan and do some suspension mods, the lxi already has a great suspension set up for stock.
I like coupes much better but of course I'm biased. They will all handle just about the same since they all have the same suspension setup. However, hatches were produced all 4 years while the coupe was only 2 so there's bound to be more hatches around than coupes.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.
Get a hatch like mine....you can fit so much in the back...lol.
i dunno about stiffer, but the lxi coupe is a mere 6 lbs lighter than the lxi sedan. So let some air out of your spare tire sedan owners! LOL.

The shorter wheel base is beter hendling 100%. I wold go for coupe if i war you. they olso have back seat with nuf room for frends. + you get a more handsome car thet stiles well.

If you want a coupe with an A20 buy a Prelude. hatch is where it's at...

i would say hatch hands down, its sweet if you ever have to pack up a bunch of stuff, and i would say you get a 10 point bonus for style.
HATCHIE ALL THE WAY. Subwoofers sound bitching in them.
subwoofers do sound way better in a hatch....my friend has a coupe and has the same sub that i have and doesnt bump as mush as mine
