You should just make a clod air intake yourself. i made mine out of a u bend from jc whitney. The pipe cost me 25 bucks, then i bought some rubber pipe connectors from home depot, and a filter. the whole thing probably cost me 45 bucks

    Re: Short ram??

the cai is better but the short ram is a lot easier to install and does give you a decent boost.. though if you get a short ram you'll just end up wanting a cai anyways hehe

ok I just read this and im feeling quite a bit better about the water situation, so now all there is, is a question of how difficult an install would be for myself, I searched but can't find a very good answer to this, so if someone has a how-to or some thoughts it would be appreciated.

    Re: Short ram??

it's not terribly hard but you need a dremel or similar rotary cutting tool to widen the intake hole and and extra pair of hands for helping remove and reattatch the bumper would be good too

its easyer to work with out it cuz you are closer to the car and your knees dont hit the bumper while you are trying to mock it up.....plus Picopop helped...so it was easy.....

removing the stock intake resonator box in the fender seems like it would be a bitch with the bumper on. it was a pain in the ass just pulling my filter off

    Re: Short ram??

i remove the bumper cover because it's easy. it takes a little while to get to all the screws/bolts, but it's not a hard task. and my bumper cover is damaged, damnit, and i can still get it on and off within 5-10 minutes.

oh, i never take off the whole bumper. (except once when i was repairing it from front-end damage.) just the cover. and the air box wasn't THAT bad.

you know it's only 6 bolt to remove the bumper 2 behind each turn signal lens and 2 under the car, easier then unscrewing the phillip head screws on the cover.
