    Angry head unit problem :gun:

well, many years ago when my uncle still owned my accord, my dad installed a blaupunkt radio/casette player for him. unfortunately, he had to splice into the original wiring to do so. so now 16 years later, it gave out and i was lucky enough to get a cd player head unit from my cousin's acura. only problem is, i have no idea how to plug it in/ wire it up. the connectors are completely different and i cant even get the damn blaupunkt out in the first place. so here are some pictures and maybe some of you can help me

    first: the blaupunkt

that white and yellow wire is whats keeping me from taking it out

    and the acura piece

so is there any way to use the acura head or am i shit outa luck?

My guess is that you no longer have the original square Honda plug that would fit into the Acura radio (it shares the original Accord connector type). This is what you need As for that power wire, you should be able to just unplug it. if you can't, just cut it (disconnect battery power first). I believe there should be a pinout for the original wiring harness connector on 3geez (HOW-To electronics section?). You'll just have to match up the snipped wires in your original harness (ignore all the wire colors that go from the radio to the splices) and reconnect a new plug like the one I linked to above using the pinout diagram. Hope this helps.

P.S.: One minute later...voila: What are the Radio wire color codes?
