i think u also need an adapter plate talk to 2engenguy he maybe able to help u a little more
Yeah you have to get an adapter plate. I just bought this kit from Pierce Manifolds:

It comes with a brand new carb, adapter plate, linkage and everything you need to get it running on your car. It's super-simple, the only tricky part is getting your throttle linkage set up.
If you want to save some money, pick up a good used Weber DGV carb, and just buy the adapter plate and linkage from Pierce. You can pick up the carbs used all over the place for about $150.
Here's all the Honda stuff that Pierce sells:

Not sure why it says 32/32 DGEV for the 84/85 Accord. Mine is definitely not that, and the site didn't say that when I bought it at the time. You might wanna call them and find out what the deal is with that, maybe the only adapter plates they have left have the hole cut for the 32/32. I suppose you could modify the adapter plate easily enough though.
Anyways, it didn't really do anything power-wise for my old engine. I haven't tuned it either though, still running stock jetting. But it does sound pretty good, and is a hell of a lot more reliable. Right out of the box, that carb worked great for me.
c i knew u would know lol hes the 2nd gen guru around here
Nah, I'm just a 2g postwhore. All my knowledge comes from PhydeauX. He's the official 2g guru.

All work on the 2g has been put on hold. 100% of my energy is going into the 1g. If you were referring to the 1g, then it's going great! Check out the head I just got back from the shop! The block is in that shop right now getting all cleaned and bored.Originally Posted by MessyHonda
