I have two problems I'm trying to solve. First once my 89 LXi is warm it idles up and down just enough to piss me off. Say 800-1200 rpm. It will gets worse as it sits. There are no codes.
I have bled the coolant system as suggested in an earlier post. I have searched for a vacuum leak but can find nothing.
Next thought to me would be idle air control. How can this be tested? If that should even be the next step.
Secong problem. During acceleration the car hits a dead spot at about 3800 to 4200. Acceleration dramaticaly decreases then takes off up to power again after 4500-5000 and up. I replaced the vacuum advance cause it would not hold vacuum, but this didn't change the acceleration problem.
This is a stock car. Any ideas would be appreciated.
