    Koyo Radiator

    hey has anybody got that koyo high flow radiator off ebay wandering if its worth the money cause mine went out this week

    took a whole year but i got the 100th post
    yet only took a month to get the 200th

    hell yeah...i got it...i think i paid 115 shipped...geddy said they price match his and he got it for like 89 or something....i like the way it keeps the car cold...my heater does not work untill i get it running or warm it up for like 5-7 mins.

    kool ive been having overheating problems with sittin in line at places does it help out with that as well

    took a whole year but i got the 100th post
    yet only took a month to get the 200th

    replace your termostat...and check if the fans go on when it gets hot.

    well thermostat was a stant which thats what we use at the shop and the radiator fans are wired to an external thormostat that ive insalled on several other 3rd gens

    have you tried cleaning your radiator, engine block and heater core.
    you can do the engine flush and it may help.
    I do have to agree that OEM honda thermostat is a lot better quality. I know that from experience.

    well it dont matter about flushing the radiator now cause its got a hole in it i was just tring to figure out what replacement i want to go with

    took a whole year but i got the 100th post
    yet only took a month to get the 200th

    there are two types that were available for accord.
    metal base and plastic base.
    the plastic one (88-89) models brake a lot around radiator cap or on the bottom. they don't hold pressure very good at all.
    The metal one is from 86-87. it can hold pressure.
    I say you best bet would be go to local parts store and pick up metal one. it will last you a lot longer.
    do the system flush too.

    my koyo is plastic...it has lifetime warranty so i dont have to buy another one again as long as the car runs.

    just bust out the jb weld and soldering iron and go to town!!

    yeah i knoe...the one i replaced said denso on it...it was like a single core and dinky looking...the Koyo was soo sexy going in...LOL...but yeah i did notice it takes longer to warm up now.

    that looks just like my old one did my new one looks kinda like that but the core is not black it is un painted but my old one looked the same as that one did

    1988 Honda Accord LX-i Coupe 123k miles.
