    Re: getting started again. 89T

OK bitches she runs, and revs freely!
Got only 1 code, code 8 tdc sensor.
I'll check the dizzy wiring later or tomorrow. I still need to wire the boost solenoid and weld in the BOV. I used a d series dizzy and it was close as fuck to be easy to mod, but it was not close enough. i ended up having to drill new holes in the cam key and the dizzy shaft. the reason being, i would only have to wallow out the stock hole about a 1/8 of an inch. that's too much play on the pin.

I was looking forward to D-series showdown and IFO-pueblo this year, but I have no cash for tuning. next year i guess.

well went out to the garage, and nothing going with the code.

I checked the TDC sensor at the dizzy and from the ecu and it checked fine. Also I checked continuity on 1 wire from the bay to the ecu to make sure it was wired right and it was. I am running out of idea's. Next, I am going to check if it pulses.

I pulled the cover and nothing looks bad. There are no other cel codes coming up at all. What else should i look for?

I have to make sure I did the sensor check test's right. Well, because i used the information in the civic book for those and not the 4g accord book.

    Re: getting started again. 89T

wow, I modded a po6 / 92 civic dizzy today in hopes of getting the old girl running and got a cel the car would barely run, and at that point my laptop was in the house.
I threw on the old one and swapped the cam key 180 degrees as well as the plug wires, and still come up with the code 8. I guess the next step will be pull the engine harness and check all wiring.

The shit of it is it doesn't throw a code while it is idling. the code comes after it is revved.

    any ideas guy's?

sorry man. its been like 7 years since i had to deal with all that, so im drawing a blank.

only thing I can suggest is to basicly run the sensor wires for each sensor sraight from the plug at the dizzy to the ecu and just let the wires rest over the motor to test.

No doubt, I'll get some wire tomorrow and give that a try. thanks.

    Re: getting started again. 89T

OK, I think i figured it out!
pin out checked by AccordEpicenter Thanks Jason

d1--->a17 I forgot to add this in the picture.
Note: the original oxygen wires are used for the distributer wiring. You must tie a21/a22 together and run a single wire to the yellow/green at the distributer.
    distributer....................stock harness

    blue/yellow...................(o2 wire) blue
    blue/green....................(o2wire) Grey
    yellow/green..................run to the ecu
    match the rest up.

Also I am running a Aem wideband o2 hence only 1 o2 wire.

Now down to where "I" made a mistake. No excuses.

B15 ckpp and b16 ckpm were wired back wards. Not in the pin out but physically. The interesting part was the ecu threw a code 8 in turn a tdc code. That threw me for a loop, I never bothered checking those ckp/ckm connections.

The car has since fired up , idled smooth, rev-ed freely with out codes....On a base map.

Deep down this was something that I knew I had to do, but I was being lazy. I ended up tracing all the wires from plug to plug all the way to the ecu.

    thanks for the help, Everyone.
time to start wiring the rest of it up.

    sounds good Rendon.

Turns out the boost control is easy to wire up, as well as brake and clutch switch. I'll be getting those done today hopefully.
