I got it all welded up today. I have to do some cleaning and take care of a few odds and ends before I reinstall it. I went the cheap way to see if it will work, If it does I will use good fittings and braded line.

Let me know how the exhaust valves work for you. I still have one rolling around in the garage that I never installed.
Will do. I had to make a new motor mount, there's hardly any room for anything.

Well I got it done today but its f****** dirty. I've remounted my front bumper cover so that's it straight. Like I said this is just a trial run. We will see how it works once the snow melts. She hasn't seen a day of rain or snow in like 5-6 years.
Also I had my 2 threads merged and renamed. My first thread when I was doing the Ford distributor as 89Turbo'ed and my newer thread getting started again 89t.

So I finally got around to finishing up that strut bar that I started way back. Lol
No frills, just simple.

I used the front most shock tower bolt and the rear upper control arm bolt. I felt that most of the stress is at the upper control arm and not so much at the shock tower. Although if I can spread the mounting points further apart it would strengthen the area between the two mounting points aswell as tower to tower. This would make for a more rigid front end.
I am fighting my self on a traction bar. What we have from the factory works. It may be a little heavy but it works. I don't like the angle of the radious rod,(I guess that's what it's called) it could be moved up on the front to better plant the tires on a launch.
What I am looking at is a little different. As you can tell I like different. I want somthing simular to a ladder bar or a 4 link. It is in thought presses right now.

I've been try to get chedda to make us t-bar for a while now. I think it would help the most as far as traction go's. It's also more cost effervescent not to mention the wight you'll save. My goal is to get my car under 2400 pounds. That would make it less the any full size Honda a 100 pounds more then a eg. With the right power numbers you'll be more evenly matched.
Last time I scaled I was at 2400ish with me in the car. So about 2240ish. I could easily drop another 100 - 150# if I got down and dirty.
I also think to do a good t-bar it would need to be a double bar with gussets or plates between them.
As far as power numbers between the a20 vs b18 counter part, we can out torque the b18 but I am not so sure on the top end.
If you can rev high and 60 foot, I see no problem wining races. My best 60 foot was a 1.8 and if I can get it into th 5 s and manage more top end power ... man I'd be in like flyn.

Oh I see now, I wonderd what I was looking at in the first pic, seems like it will tighten up the front box good like that!
I wanted to put in a couple more braces, but I decided to keep it basic.
This what I kinda envisioned for a 4 link. It's not to scale its just a rendering.

Nice
I got to thinking, another thing that needs to be done is either super hard bushings or solid aluminum bushings.

I tested the crankcase evacuation valve today. I got mixed results. It's still pushing the dip stick out but it is smoking alot less under boost. I ended up only doing 1 . From what I am reading you should not run a muffler with the valve do to back pressure in the exhaust. So I think I am on the right track . I either need to remove my nice quiet muffler and add another valve or spend 500 on a proper catch setup. On a side note it was smoking a bit so I decided it was burning excess build up off. We went out for a cruise and 15 minutes later it cleared. I got home and quickly realized that I forgot to plug in the fan. I watched the temperature the entire time we were out and it never got hot . although after shutting it off coolant started coming out right around the filler neck. I can't win. Lol..
