    Clue Less

I Just Bought An 89 (thats What I Was Told) Accord. I Am Wondering What The Motor Code Is And If There Is A Way Of Telling If It Is A Dx Or A Lxi(this Car Is Completely Stripped Of All Emblems And Interior As It Is An Oval Track Car) I Have The Resources To Reseach The Engine And Such, but I Need To Know Its Model. IT IS A FUEL INJECTED MOTOR

That the fith or so 3rd gen I have seen setup for a dirt track race. I guess the mixture of cheap, easy to work on, and light are a great combination. Good luck and let us know how the races turn out.

I think it is because there is no corner or tail lights so the car looks dull.

This person would have no reason to send us a chopped photo dude.

I see what you mean though the rear window black does not match the wheel well black contrast. That and the sheet metal covers over the rear light areas make it look crayola (not to mention the color)

I think it is awesome, and Legendmaster, do you have pics of those other cars? The whole class of FWD dirtrack is budget favored, Ive xcyper searched around the country looking at different track rules. Worst case scenerios for buy out I found is 800 bucks minus if you take your cage out 500. You can make a car go with your skills, have fun ripping shit out of it. Machine work is the biggest recurring expense unless you do all that yourself. And then drive the crap out of it, buy JY motors for 300 bucks and go race again. Really any FWD car you would gut out is not going to cost as much as just a motor for say a street stock Chevy or something in the faster classes.
RWD four bangers have gotten to be more competative, I dont know if this car was racing against those too, like he mentions ministock, ministock used to mean RWD. Those are faster and little more investment because they have been around longer. Ive seen some pretty fancy RWD ministocks.
I would guess they would separate those like they do here.

its not chopped .... It looks like it because there are no doors.. they were removed and a piece of sheet metal was put in place..( its all about wieght)...
this car is set up for a 1/3 mile paved oval in the toronto area...it took alot of hard work for the guy before me to get the car down to that weight without making the car a pop can that would just fold... I really appreciate the intrest, considering its not a road legal vehicle

yes it does race against rear wheel drives. the track champion in the class this year was a nissan 240. and there is no back window ur just seeing the inside of car(painted all black inside)
