Hey on those taillights, I read somewhere that you want to use red LEDs. If you use the white ones, the light is emitting every color in the spectrum. Then the red lens is filtering out every color except red, which means that only a small percentage of the light emitted is seen. Making it appear not as bright.
If you use red LEDs, 100% of the light emitted is red. And while the lens isn't the exact match, it will still be filtering less light. This will make it appear brighter.
That's just what I've heard. You are the LED master, so I'm curious as to what you've actually found through all your trials in building LED lighting. Does this seem to be true for you?

I'll be using these for my many custom projects. I still make them from scratch! I can get these in sizes from 3, 6, 9, 12, & 15 led circuit boards. So the possibilities are great! The resisters can also be soldered to the rear of the circuit board so you only see the led's. There are the two holes which can be used to mount them with tiny screws!
This board is slightly larger than an American Quarter (25 cents)
