is this the hole people use for a CAI??

or... what was it origonally for? it used to have a plastic cap over it =/

if you're originally carbed, that hole is cover because the carb engine doesn't put the intake down in there like the efi one does. if you had an efi engine, the hole where you intake stuff is now would be covered with a plastic thingy.
