    Exclamation Fuel Gauge Acting up!

so i went to the gas station because just like all cars i was running low on gas so i put in $20 (which should fill up my tank to almost full) and it went to $12 and stopped so i was wondering what happened? then i turned on the car and it went to 3/4 tank is full. so right at this moment my car is telling me i need gas when i have 3/4 of a tank of gas in my car right now. what happened? and can i fix it?

You probably need a new sending unit or a new dial in the guage cluster?

Did this happen just once? Are you certain that the tank was full? Fuel nozzles work by pressure, and I've seen a number of occasions where they will trip and stop prematurely. The fix is to back out the nozzle a little bit from all the way in to allow the fuel to flow down into the tank better.

If, on the other hand, you're sure, yeah, check out all that other stuff...lol.
