I was cleaning the surface for the thermostat housing(on the head) today. My brother said to get as much off the haze like material off. It really looks like coolant that was burned up. Now i did get it off, my question is when i did my water pump(haven't started car yet, waiting for a part), i scraped some of the material off but there was not enough room to get a lot of it off. I did the best i could and i used alcohol as well. Will it leak?

Yea i installed a new gasket, old one was rock hard. Anyways if it does leak i now know how everything goes apart.
