    Speed govrened?

    do 2ndgens have speed governors or can I make it go as fast as I want
    I love my accord with its mega rare A16A1 engine and its awesome loud roar. but I have to walk to japan just to find parts for it.

    no speed governer but oyu may have fuel cut off relay.
    it is there so you don't over rev it.

    Pretty sure there's no fuel cut off, rev limiter, or any such thing on these cars. I've had mine up to about 125 down a long hill, and ran it slightly over 7000rpm on the autocross track.

    I think it only OBD cars that have that. so 91 and up.

    if you wanna make it fast do a A20A3 swap or a A20A1 with webber swap like 2ndgenguy. hell even just a webber on your rare and I bet REALLY REALLY GOOD MPG accord would do something.

    Not sure carb'd cars can be speed governed. I'm pretty sure the governor is the 1829cc SOHC carb setup!!

    awsome so if i do turbo my A16A i can go as fast as i want to

    cant someone somehow rig up a rev limiter to the coil on these carbed cars???

    Yeah you can rig a rev limiter, but not a speed limiter. Unless you rigged something to cut the revs when you get a certain reading from the VSS.
