Weird Twirling sound in engine
Ok i have an 86 accord and a 95 Prelude Si. My prelude recently started making a wierd twirling fluid-like sound when i accelerate and gets worse the higher the RPM like somethings f'ed up. It all started after i burned out then took off and a car came in front of me so i slammed on the brakes. i then parked it and cut it off, after i cut it back on it made the wierd sound. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Maybe a vacuum hose got dislodged or the intake system moved due to a jolt? Those issues will generate noise. Check over the intake and PCV system connections. Does the engine run any worse?

somthing came loose and is ratling around?
The engine doesnt run any worse i dont think but its making a loud twirling like rotary sound near 1400 RPMs and gets louder when i accelerate. I think i redlined it when i was burning out and shifted to second then slammed on the brakes with the clutch in and then when i drove again it made the noise. A blown head gasket wouldnt make that noise would it? i checked the oil too it was black and at the same level but it isnt the problem i dont think. it sounds like something inside the head when i rev it but i may be wrong.
also, what are the PCV connections and where are they located?
have you checked your coolant fluid? may be you are low on it and you are running air buble around the engine.

maybe, but wouldnt the thermostat run hot if that were true?
no not really. you can have a little bubble and it would sound like someone running water around the engine.

so if i just fill it back up it wont make that sound? i hope thats the problem. thanks
whats a vacuum hose and what are the PCV connections and where are they located?
get a shop manual and you should find where all of that located.
It is hard to explain without picture.
