Honestly I dont know, that would all have to be trial and error . For all I know it could bolt up perfectly with no offset issues.

If there's a 1/2" space between the rotor and caliper then an 11" rotor wouldn't be a problem but the brake pads wouldn't cover the entire wear surface of the rotor, the inner part of the rotor wouldn't be in contact with any of the pad, so we would need other pads which should be longer towards the center of the disc. But that kinda seems like a long shot to find pads like that...
That is what I was thinking. You would still be getting the same amount of pad to surface area as the legend does, but there would still be that small amount of space that doesnt get touched. Like I said in an earlier post, the NSX has 11" rotors so I wonder if those pads would work. The 90-91 NSX share a few parts with the 88-89 Legend and I wonder if the pads or pads and calipers will fit.

I am not sure about the rear, but yes the front would bolt up. As for the fastbrakes, he is using the measurement from oldblueaccord and my setup to figure out what wilwood kit to use.

hehe you found your way to the catalogue although it's in danish huh

    there's also these, they are for 1g legends built in the UK (85.2 x 62.2 x 14.5mm):

If they can hang on the bracket although they are a slight bit more narrow they might be good. You would just have to cut that flappy thing off and remove the wires... Those were the best ones I could find after looking through all of these: http://www.blackdiamondperformance.c...apes_07_05.pdf

I had trouble figuring out which one said brake system . So 47.4 is the height of the pad correct? If so I checked every Honda and could not find one that would work. I just wonder how they use the same size pad for an 11" rotor as they do for a 10.3" rotor. the Only difference between the generation of legends is the thickness of the pad.

Re: DIY:10.2" rotors and calipers (Bolt on Mod)

edited my post above a little.

I believe they can use the same pad on different rotors because the recessed part of the rotors has different diameters which means the the wear surface hight of the disc is still the same. For some reason they might have made larger flanges on the hubs on some of the models which would require the rotors to be larger diameter on the recessed part that goes over the flange. But i'm just guessing.

Those 827 rovers were a knock off of the G1 Legend. I know of some in the junkyard I think i might check out the pads next time I am there. It looks like the rover pad is 4MM shorter in length then the Legend pads. that might lead to wobbling or moving back and forth.

Yea they were made by another manufacturer (Lucas).
But cool if you have those rovers over there too! About the width, it depends on where they measure the width of the pads. the total width might be diff but the width minus the mounting ears might be the same. if we're lucky lol
It would be cool if you could find those in the JY, we dont have any of those rovers or legends at the junkers around here.

We have lots of legends here in the JY, but I have only seen to Sterling/rovers in the JY around my town (i know of one that is completely untouched). I will keep everybody up to date.

Ok I tried to fit the EP3 civic caliper bracket on the SE-i Hub and it was to wide, but just for reference the 89 Legend Caliper will fit onto the EP3 bracket I am going to try the EP3 caliper on the legend bracket tomorrow.

Ok I ordered the 11" rear rotor for the 99 Civic Si. It is actually a replacement rotor for a big brake kit. Theoretically this should bolt in perfectly with the Legend caliper. I will let you guys know how it works when the rotor arrives. If this works then we will have an bolt on 11" rotor upgrade, I know the pad will not extend all the way down, but I will have to figure that one out.

Hmmm. I might just have to get me a set of those calipers instead of redrilling the brackets from the AEM kit.

It is purely bolt on, all you have to do is shave the inside of the brake caliper bracket. When I finish filing the inside of the bracket I will make an 11" rotor thread.

Just a hand file, it was only a small bit of metal that needed to be removed. I installed the bracket and the rotors then turned the rotor to find out where it was rubbing. I ground off all the areas that touched the rotor. Now everything works perfectly. I will take pictures and do an entire DIY when I get the other rotor.
