If you look on car-part.com & punch all the information in, they list the crankshaft for around $125.

YOU have to put car-part.com as it looks with the hyphen. <<

I found a crank but I have other issues, when the motor became off balanced the piston skirt on one of the cylinder put a grove in one of the wall that was to deep so now i have to get the next size up piston and it is a 3-5 week wait. So i will keep on with up dates.

I admire your spirit, even though the first engine takes a pretty good dump, you keep on going. Good luck with the new engine!

if you had the machine shop put in you'r rods and crank, make sure to check the tourque on all the bolts. machine shops are getting sloppy these days.

I am hoping to go 8's with the setup, and with the money invested I couldn't give up on the project. I just had the shop bore and balance i put my own motors together.

    3words for you...pinks all out.

anyway i am studying your pics like a how to guide.
what size pipe (and thickness of pipe) are you using for your front end?
mainly the pipe where your fenders attach.
what size pipe for the "traction bars"?
is there any thing you would have done different?

i am planning a coupe build and i want to build the front end similar to your chassis.
    any help would be appreciated.

    thanks jerry

I also started with the motor and it is together on the stand. So just have to put on tranny on and put it in. Then start with the break-in pt.

What machine shop do you use? I was thinking about shipping my block to ERL because they have a name and the pricing was pretty much what i paid a local shop. I definately don't want problems like i had before with the shop and on my own.

now that i look at it again it does look like 1.5"... thanks

one other question... what are the NHRA rules when you tube the front end?
would i have to get the chassis NHRA certified?
would it make a difference in the class? sfwd ect...

sounds like you are finally getting it going, good luck with the break-in.i am sure there are videos to come in the near future...

that reminds me do you have that 10 sec run on video?

It is not consider to be tube front end because i still have the stock towers and frame rails, that is more for safety. I have a full cage so i have to get it certi. by NHRA. What i did migth make a difference in SFWD. We just have to wait for the new rules to come out. I have alot of 10 sec runs, i have to figure out how to get it on the memory card off the video camera.

well i dont think i will have the cash to jump on it right away, so i can wait for the rules to come out. I like the way your car is set up,seems alot easier to work on or pull the engine. i am lookin at an 8pt cage to start with and i am trying to keep it somewhat streetable. I want to try to make the front end(how would you call it?) 2-way.i want to be able to pop the hood as it would stock, and be able to remove the entire front clip just as easy without adding an ass load of weight. ill figure that out later.. What does your car weigh in at?

hmmm..all i do with my camera is plug in the usb and windows takes care of the rest..i am running windows xp though.
did you install the software for your cam? is it the same cam that you took the h22/chassis pics with?

Johnny did you have your cage custom made or is there a kit we can order? Me and jerry are kind of in the same boat, gonna need a cage sooner or later

    Re: h22 in a 3g

The 8pt is good but you can go all the way and do a 10 pt.I could remove the hood and fenders but it isn't one piece. I use all the stock mounting pts.I have to do the video camera, put i took the pictures with my video camera.
