All boost, no nitrous. Yeah, I have a screen over the turbo. When u run at the track you don't have to worry as much as being in the street.

very much like the turbine inlet on a turboprop aircraft, except once they are in the air they don't have to worry much about dirt from the ground. same idea though.

I went to the dyno yesterday and made a couple of pulls to make sure the car stayed together and it did. I went with street tires so we had to kept the boost down because after 25 it spun the tires hard. At 23 lbs it made 580. Have to do some suspension work and hopefully hit the track next weekend

Tommy, that's a real clean setup right there, and we all give you props for converting from carb to efi, and doing the swap, but honestly, this thread is about Johnny's boosted monster.

Dammit Johnny, now you're gonna make me go up there and take pics/vids of that beast running. You around Friday after work? I gotta go up there to pic up a planer, so I could swing by if you're going to be around.

    I don't crazy in power
H22A more high technology than A20A with VTEC and Twin Cam.
I will modified my H22A later.
200 HP that enough for me now because I use this car everyday.

well you have to understand his is a drag car for the track only. having that much power on the street in a front wheel drive car is pretty useless. it's for knocking you back in the seat and getting down the drag strip as fast as possible.

a little clarification... Yes, the car did make multiple passes in the 10's, but that was with an A20 (boosted obviously). The A20 met its maker when a rod let go and that was that. At that point Johnny had the option of working up another A20 block, or going H. ...guess which route he took? ...this setup should be able to make those past numbers (with the A20) look like childs' play. It's just got to hold together long enough to make some very good pulls. (sorry John, I had to say it. )

if you could that much power then yes, you could beat half the fags.

best pic of Johnny's car is when he came to a meet with it on the trailer. I will dig it up this weekend.

Congrats Johnny! Glad to see that you have stuck with it.

does Tommy have an H22A swap?? This is news to me!!
