where would be a good place to find one for cheap?
There's a place online that has then for $450 I think, plus about $175 freight. Is that cheap? I'm not sure what you're hoping to spend. I think the engines are under 90k, but I'm not sure (not at home so I don't have all my bookmarks).

Got an imported carbed 89 for 699 with under 40,000 miles.

why would anyone want a used engine.
it is very near the same price in the end to rebuild it.
then you get a fresh engine with all of the compression back, new bearings, etc
cause it would take longer for me to rebuild it than it would for me to drop the other engine in.
