so even after searching i didnt particularly find an answer to this one:
are the 3geez automatic and 5-speed axles different, or do they interchange?
i have known some vehicles in my day where it didnt matter if you got a replacement axle (say from a salvage yard) off of the automatic or manual transmission variety, some others i have known to have horribly different axle lengths when compared auto to manual. i have had to replace a few axles on my 3geez (i have 3 right now plus a dead one) but i never came across the need to see if they switched out, i always had auto and manual axles to loot from and never really took the time to compare them. but now i have a 89 LXi auto that my mom drove until... well the axle doesnt really resemble an axle anymore, and i have a pair of good 5-spd axles laying around and would love to hear that they interchange so i can avoid buying axles this time around.
