Anyone seen this before? Think it would work on our 3g's?

Honda Motor Co. announced a new 2.0-litre, in-line 4-cylinder VTEC engine that is 50 per cent cleaner than required under next-generation emissions regulations in Japan.

Honda also has designed the VTEC engine with a 20 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency compared to a conventional 2.0-litre lean-burn petrol engine, while still achieving world-class low-to-mid range torque and maximum power output ( probably around 150 HP ).

The high-performance engine is 10 per cent lighter and more compact than current 2.0-litre engines thanks to a streamlined design employing modularisation.

As long as you can make the thing fit, hook up a transmission to it, etc then it will work. Of course since this thing is new, to put it in you'll need to get everything custom done meaning lots and lots and lots of cash $$$

I'm sure you could get it in there if you really wanted to. Hell there was that v8 powered 3rd gen on ebay a while back, and the h22a has been done. All it comes down to is how much money you have to spend.

Pheadux: that was a 4th gen. Same concept though. It's all about the greenbacks, and how many you got to burn.

yep, the only thing that really remains the same after an engine swap is the chassis and suspension

Well no not really. I'm sure that there rear suspension is gone and replcaed with some sort of 4 link drag setup. The front would have to be rearanged, the steering box needs to sit infront of the engine in a rwd setup, and I'm sure that there was more to it then that. Didn't the ebay ad say something about some tube work? I don't have the link hadny. Its really just the body that remains unmodified.
