Exclamation 11" Corrado Rotors: They dont Work

So I tried out a set of corrado rotors, and they dont even fit on our hub. The hub is about 1 CM to big for the rotor to fit on it. The hub could possibly be modified or the rotor, but I didnt want to modify the rotor or hub since I was only borrowing the rotors from somebody. So I guess we have to use the re drilled Legend rotors. The next plausible option will be to swap over the Legend suspension. and so another option bites the dust .

Well at least its another question answered.

Now how big a brake can we fit under a 15" rim is the next one I'm on.

11" is the max rotor you can fit under a 15" rim unless you have an especially thin caliper. I am positive on that one, here is a pic.

It will fit exactly the same as mine, I have seen the tegs with a similar setup and they had the same clearance. Also yes fastbrakes makes a few bolt on setups.

Sorry guys, I tried this in December and forgot to postit up. like legend set, you could modify the rotor or hub, but it would probably wiser to modify the hub.

It's so slight, but could definitely be fixed. The next deli ma would be the fact that the corrado rotor is no were near as deep as the accord/Legend. The caliper could be spaced out with longer bolts and some washers, that just seem a little iffy to me.

yeah but even in that picture you can put your fingers thru the gap from the caliper to the rim. On my old dodge you can run 11.75" rotors on 15" rim. Of course thats a whole nother set up. Just sommething I'm thinking of. It have to be a custom rotor I can't find anything close thats stock.

The picture is deciving, I cant even get my pinky in there at the closest point. Either way, I think you would be wasiting time trying to get a larger rotor under a 15" wheel. THe braking power is fenaomenal compared to the factory accord brakes, and there is plenty of room for better caliper and rotor combination.

also i have seen a stock lx brake setup completely lock up some pretty sticky tires. I think that using a good slotted rotor, good fluid and good lines etc will go a lot further towards a good setup than slightly larger/heavier rotors. really what we need is good pads combined with everything else and we have MORE than enough braking power as long as we can keep the fade at bay.

without abs we just lock them up that much sooner.

I'm pretty sure that 11" is the max using the majority of honda calipers. I know it's hard to see in this pic but these are the same calipers that you see on 5th gen v6's and legends, and I'm not sure what else uses them.

There is barely any clearance on my 15".

so you no longer need the washers in the front to space out the rotor?

Yep, i had my 11" rotor thread updated a little. There is no need for the washers if you run the Legend rotors and Integra R calipers with the 88-89 LX-i hubs. It is complete bolt on minus the redrilled rotors.

Are the calipers used? That is a damn good price either way.

OK for pads guys if you are worried about brake fade, run LXi fronts and get the legend calipers on the rear, Then you can run hawk black pads all the way around. That is my plan as i will still be able to run 13in wheels if i want

I think the 88-89 LX-i hubs require 14" wheels minimum.

Yea. I will be running the LX brakes but have rear disc's and the rear discs hardly clear the calipers but will work.

P.S This the stock 13" steelies.

Yeah the rear 88-89 for all models will clear a 13" rim, but the front 88-89LX-i, SE-i will not clear a 13" rim.

Yea if it wasn't for the front's i would upgrade to bigger rotors and MC up front but i don't want to upgrade rims.
