first hello to all,im a true honda god my first car was a 89 accord, and i fell into the honda world long ago and i own sevral and ive done every swap you can think of on all hondas92+, well i just went back to my roots and bought a 86 lxi accord hatchback it needs a new tranny and motor, so does anybody no were you can buy a tranny and motor set for that car, i wont to keep it stock so no hybrid motor,any help will be helpful, thank you

hmm...see you migrated from hondaswap. anyways, jy will have what you want. 3g accords are a plentiful there. many with good motors, but totalled and written off because of being rearended or other such body damage or rust eaten. but with an excellent drivetrain up front. or, for sale section, dude is selling a reworked a20a3 with integ hybrid tranny.

yeah, there's a wealth of info here about the lost art known as a-series tuning. and besides here or a jy, i see them on ebay on occasion for $500 for the jdm longblock. those would probably be the lowest possible mileage ones you can get nowadays (supposedly around 50k) as most of the jy ones probably have at least 150-200k+ miles on their tickers.
cool i have a local pull a part jy that has about 75 of them so mabe ill get lucky,i would also like to do the digital gauge cluster swap but thats gona be real hard to find and i hear its a pain to wire up
yeah. and besides, unless it's a really built motor, there's no point in having an a20 shipped when they're so plentiful at the jy. but if you check the for sale thread for the openloop coupe, it's actually now a part out thread which includes the engine as part of that.
