Who is enforcing the rule? The mechanic when you take your car in for annual the inspection?Originally Posted by MessyHonda
If mechanics has been granted the power to give people tickets, that's outrageous.

The main reason the junkyard won't sell you a used cat is because they know it's illegal to sell used cats. Some people have been stealing catalytic converters off cars, because they can sell the platinum inside them.
Around here, it's illegal to put a used cat on a vehicle.
.
i herad they cut them off now...i remember when monkey got his dc headers from the junkyard they just cut the pipe.

The yards around here cut the cats off before they put the cars out.
