    the b20 prelude engines won't work in a 3g, they lean backwards, and the accord a20 and b20 lean forwards
    also, the whole b series is DOHC

    Damn.
    B20A3 = SOHC dual carb 100 HP 88-91 Prelude 2.0S

    I remember back in the day I was doing this all day. Refer to my really old posts if you're unsure about a specific engine...or ask me.

    And it wont just bolt up. Throw it away. Plus it's weak.

    Re: B20a Isnt Hard To Find

    OK OK.....LET ME CLEAR IT UP the B20A3....came with carbs...its a SOHC head on it.

    b20a5 is the prelude engine.

    JDM b20A is the one we need.

    Re: B20a Isnt Hard To Find

    88-89 had two B series engines. the carb model had B20 dual carb setup, but it had SOHC and EFI model had DOHC setup.

    you got a wrong motor. the motor that will bolt up to our cars was never produced in the US. You have to import or buy it from someone who has it.
    the engine only came in 86-87 prelude and 86-89 accord (3G model). any other B20 engine would be wrong one.

    Re: B20a Isnt Hard To Find

    to the op: throw it out. if you're going to swap in a motor from the 3g lude, at least get one that makes more power than that. but as it is, that's already pretty pointless because with the same motor you could have your a20 making more power than a b20a5.
