You would have to either shorten the arm on the tranny that the clutch cable attaches to, or you will have to make the clutch pedal longer at the part where the clutch cable is connected.

what he said, theres an adjuster nut on the arm of the transmission, have someone tighten it up until youre comfortable with where your clutch is at.

Your clutch should start grabbing at about 1" off the floor, and have about 2" of play in it before it starts to engage (when pushing TOWARDS the floor)

I cant remember if the Accord pedal has an actual adjustment nut or not. I know my integra does have an adjustment nut on the pedal.

If it doesnt try adjusting the cable.

i didnt say you were stupid.

I was putting that in there so when people look back on this when using this nifty "SEARCH" function, they can get a better understanding if they are confused. And same goes for you, i dont KNOW you, you dont KNOW me. I put that info in there to make sure it all stayed CLEAR and you understood it.

    Re: QW: Short Clutch...

there is no pedal adjustment the only way to ajust that is by the clutch adjust nut on the end of the cable where it bolts to the gearbox. it would be quite fun to play with the length of the clutch arm on the bellhousing tho i wonder how it actually would affect gear changing

    Re: QW: Short Clutch...

One thing is clear for sure, if you adjust to much on the gear box. The cluch will fade (coz of constant contact wit a flywheel.) so i need to figure out ather way to do this job, shorten something... i will look on thet.

    edit:If i sucsed i will make a HOW TO.

so you want to make pedal travel shorter? thegreadane already told you what to do.
if you want more grip, get a better clutch.

making it travel shorter won't make it grip better. Your clutch probably worn out.

    Re: QW: Short Clutch...

this is what I have learned about the 3gee clutch

The pedal does have A LOT of unnecessary travel. I have it adjusted so that it starts to release with about 3/4" of travel, then you can play with the next inch of travel for varied pressure, and then there are like 6 inches of travel not doing shit.

I think the easiest and most practical solution to this problem would consist of 2 changes.
    1) adjust the clutch cable so that it does not grab until you have almost completely released the pedal.
    2) construct a stopper (like the one behind the accelerator) so that it doesn;t keep going all the way to the floor when you "mash it" <--dirty south

If you want more grab, you need a better clutch
