Re: Remote start and keyless entry

I install remote starters and audio equipment for a living and the best R-S that I know of for a 5 spd. is a Compustar, and they're actually reasonably priced. If you don't know how to put it in yourself, make sure you go to a reputable installer who will actually run the proper relays for the clutch switch and also install the ready mode, so that if you left it in gear it won't be able to start.

yeah i wouldn't trust $30 alarm, but there is nothing wrong with remote starter and key less entry for that price.

any alarm can be bypassed. it take a thief 60 seconds to steel your car.
in our case, probably less than 5 seconds even with alarm.

Thets thrue... Mi frend told me about one gue thet steels MB S-class in a mather of seconds. So i think thet no car thief want to steal our cars atlass you got kickass stereo with badass wheels. i see no ather reason. Besides 30$ alarm is beter then nothing, atleast it will defend agenst kids who steels for joyride and dump it.

well, I am using $30 alarm and it works great since the last 6 months. nobody actually wants to steal my car though. they actually depends a lot on how you install it. $200, alarm if installed incorrectly, is just as useless as having no alarm

very fair statement, a pro will not be interested in an old HOnda unless he know it has a B18 or something in it.
The worst problem is kids, right now we have a rash of car break ins, it is gang initiations and truth or dare type things. A 30 dollar alarm will give you enough money left over to support your 40mm Glock
