new pictures of the 98 I got for my wife

ok finally a few pictures of the 98. it's already blown up a radiator,a cv joint, brakes, brake rotors, lug nuts, and four bent rims and tires. already fixed though.

still needs a lot of body work and a bunch of leaks fixed. also the check engine light is on,but the sensor it says is bad checks out fine.

Lookin' good! Don't get distracted by trying to mod it, that's probably what I would do in that situation.

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

where do you get a civic that new for $1500? i don't care what condition it's in, if it's for sale here (which isn't that far from you), it's listed for at least $3000, no matter how many crashes the thing had been in.

anyway, that's not too bad. a radiator isn't a big deal. brakes are something i always replace when i buy a car unless i have proof that they had recently been replaced. just sounds like a "bad roads" car to me. bent rims and new lugnuts are what tell me that.

from here, a good cleaning and some dent removal and you'll have a nice car. real diamond in the rough.

I bought it from someone i work in the machine shop with at work. my wife is already working on the dents, she is taking auto collision with me. I bought a set of factory rims for 50 bucks and put tires on them already. someone had screwed up the lug studs on one side, that was a nightmare to fix. I think I got it so cheap because it just looks bad, the dents aren't anything to me to fix,the engine runs good, other then the fact it's an auto. the clearcoat is peeling.it's one of THOSE!! but we will just repaint it factory color. I think if I do any mods to it,it'lll be tastful ones. the left headlight needs to be replaced due to the fact the turnsignal bulb holder is missing on the back. I don't mean the socket,I mean the part the socket attaches to. I saw some nice lights on ebay with the carbon fiber in the parts outside of the light. it was black carbon fiber too. I think they would look tasteful on a dark green car like this. not too flashy. If I make anything for the inside it'll be low key. it's her car so she will have to decide. as long as it's anti rice it'll look good. we found by accident it has remote start, the previous owner had never used the alarm,so my wife was playing with the remote and the car started itself. I have to pull the brain and find out the brand,I need to order another remote. some of the remote start safety features don't work,so I need to straighten it out anyway.
