Is there any advantage to that little filter thingy on the cam shaft cover? Im dont know what youd call it... my pcv line or sumthin... mines hooked into my intake using some tubing. Would it be better if i put a little filter on it?

Actually, yes it does do something. If you use an aftermarket intake you either need to connect it to the valve cover port using tubing, or put a breather on the valve cover port. If you don't you may build up blow-by pressure in the engine and cause some nice oil leaks around various gaskets.
if ur talking about the breather being in the place of ur stock ventilation hose in terms of hp gains, then NO. it does not help in increasing ur hp, but its a breather (has a filter inside as u know) that filters out oil fumes so it wont be shitting under ur hood. ppl use it only when they put in custom intake. or some ppl do it for fun.
