    piston rings

well, im going to pick up my engine fairly soon. im not sure if my 'OEM equal' parts are able to withstand any amount of boost, so im thinking about going with some hasting rings. the problem is, i dont really wanna go through my machine shop since there is a price hike, so i was wondering what info i need to know when it comes to ordering up a set of rings

could call up diamond racing, i dont know if they sell 'just' rings, but they are very helpful people. my guess is you just need to know piston diameter and maybe thickness.

im not baller enough for those rings...

would having the cylinder bore, and piston size, with the thickness of the rings be enough for getting rings?

    Re: piston rings

my engine was bored .020 over, and the fact that im using aftermarket junkie pistons got me questioning whether the thickness of the rings would play a role in it since not all pistons are equal, and not all rings are universal, therefore not all ring thickness' are equal
