it is above the fuse box all the way to the top. it is hard to get to it.
Alex.
ok, thank you
if ur like me and cant be fucked fixing it kick under the dash by the fusebox. if u kick it hard enough it will click and work![]()
do it while you have your dash out you'll be Happy that you did it now, unlike me I doing it later today and it's a bitch but not impossible to get at
honda shd jst make them work for once. why shd i have to replace it it shd replace itself. as for me my main relays fine its my old car that had an issue its at the dump now lol
That's why i left mine hanging when i did the efi swap, so it would be much easier to get to. Mine is now located upside down and bolted on with something else right behind the carpet on the side of the foot well.Originally Posted by shepherd79

i dont know what your LHD cars work as in the way of placement but in my rhd 2.0si i can see the main reLAY If i pull off my coin tray. it just snaps in there....be carefull not to break it off lol. now look at the air vent pipe you can see where it goes...... in between the fusebox and the air vent duct you will see it. at the top on the side of the fusebox bolted to the side of the car. my relay is coloured brown . has some yellow wires and BLACK BLUE AND GREEN. hope this helps
can anybody confirm that thats the same way the LHD accords main relay is setup? thanks for that though wohdog!
sweet i hope it helps. i got my car out of the shed just to look and see where it was at.
i appreciate it! ill check tomorrow since im very busy today...should be easy, i still have my dash off!
i would go ahead and unbolt the fusebox and pull it down. its easier to get at that way.
yes you can see it if you take out the coin holder.
Alex.
ordered one and they sent me the WRONG FUSE, dumbass advance auto... but i fugred out its my coolant temp. sensor anyways...they better send my the right one this time...
if you search here for main relay i did a write up on it with a link to a picture. Or i wanted to and it was a long time ago.

For future reference, I read somewhere that the main fuel relays in older Accords had bad soldering work. Kicking it helps because it makes the cracks in the solder contact each other which completes the circuit.
I took mine out, opened the cover, and saw that all of the joints were dry. I'm not the best at soldering, so I took it to a local VCR repair shop and the guy there re-soldered the whole thing in less than two minutes for free. I put the relay back in and it works fine now.
The hardest part of the whole thing is taking it out and putting it back in.

Yes I did the same thing with a bunch of Relays (except I soldered them myself) I got at the junkyard. They worked great after I did this. Oh andOriginally Posted by spiffergirl
