Re: How good of a driver do you think YOU are?

it took me 4 years to get it right ,......... but now i have complete control of all situations.
i always pay attention to whats happening.
of course track experience does help with knowing a cars limits, which is always important

Re: How good of a driver do you think YOU are?

I think i tend to have better control over slides and things of that nature in a RWD car, because i grew up on RWD ATV's where i learned how to slide and fishtail and recover from it. But with FWD i find it easier to stay out of those situatuons, since its usually the front end that will push before the ass slides out.

2ndgenguy, you took the words out of my mouth about the highway/on and off ramp traffic. It kills me when theres a yield sign to get on the highway, and people decide to stop like tis gonna get any easier to get on the highway.

Ive definetly come a long way in the 4 years ive had my license, so theres only room to go up til im an old man in my grand marquis Like Lost said about having driven half a million miles, im sure im well on my way there. Around the timeframe of july i will have driven around 70k in just my cars, not to mention the work truck i probably have put another 20k on in the past year.

i hate to break it to you but cops dont have routes, they just have patrol areas. they could be anywhere at any time, trust me all areas, especially in oklahoma, are well covered. you WILL get caught if you keep street racing.

i'm not bad, i drive smoothy most of the time, i can keep control of my car on turns and i haven't gotten into an accident. I know my car's limits, and i usually dont go near em unless I'm having a bad day. Even then I keep my car under control, up at 120mph..heh. and i can heel and toe downshift, match revs, etc, w/o distracting me from the road that much. Not bad for a 16 year old.

You guyes tolking about driving at streight roads, like you need to be a pro, tri to drive in norway one time. at ours twisty, narow, smal roads . Spetualy in winter, when you drive on dri asfalt near sea, then you swing behind a mounthen and sothen you find you'r self on ice. tricky. belive me.
Some one told one time, thet the best drivers in the world you find here. dont know if its thrue but i kant say thet i'm a bad driver, even if i have been thrue akcidents. this is mi first FWD, i dont get use to it yet )))

Its prttey fnuny how you can raed tihs eintre snetnece with all tehse ellters out of palce...
