yeah they did but they were a dealer option. at the junkyard i only seen like 2-3 but most of them have busted lights but you can still take the fog light swtich...it goes on the slot right next to the cruise control swtich

directly to the engine bay. as they have no need to go anywhere else and its the same on a prelude and i just completed a stripdown of all unneccessary wires on a preldue and thats where they went, no joints or anything

Ok, so there's no relay or anything I guess

I just need to bring the blue/red wire up front and that's it. I'll wire the other 2 to the parking light switch in case I forget the fog switch in the ON position. This way the light reminder will chime

    Thanks a thousand

did you ever get this figured out carotman? I got steves set in the mail yesterday and am eager to figure it out. Im not so concerned with jdm factory as you are. Id be more inclined to piggyback the headlight switch so the fogs act like the headlights with the foglight switch acting as a main power on/off switch but controlled by the headlights

    Re: Steve_Si's foglight update thread

well I havent tried to fit anything yet but it appears the barckets use existing mounts that the bumper uses also. If this is the case, I should be able to fab something up bringing the brackets further into the bumper cavity. Ill use the stock bracket as a template only so they are still stock if it doesnt work or I decide to change it later. I just like the look of the power cover on the foglights. I wish I could find a clear lense for them though.

what I think would be cool is if you wire them to flip open with the head lights so when you open the headlights they all open at once

    Re: Steve_Si's foglight update thread

isnt that what I siad. I would use the switch as a master foglight on/off but it would be powered from the headlights so they all open and close at the same time?

Clear lenses arent JDM lol and yellow light>white light when it comes to seeing in the dark.
Im sure you should be able to sort out that wiring

it would be cool but i would still like a master switch so i can close the fog lights when i want...dont want to get them pitted with rocks.

    Re: Steve_Si's foglight update thread

Bumping this old-ass thread from the dead... But does anybody here happen to still have these wiring diagrams? I've got a set of power fogs I'm trying to install, but I have no harness or switch. All I have is 6 short wires coming out of the fog light housing.

Since y'all already bumped it... yeah, they are really, really cool! I've only got the dealer fog lights, so they don't retract. For the record, they're Bosch 1473A, same as is used in some BMWs and Volvos.
