carb neck size

Yes i searched i didnt find the post that a20a1 has listed the pro-flo filters that fit our carb necks i have been having serious issues trying to change my filter box cause no adapters fit, so hopefully one of you guys know where to get the adapter cause the flipped lid is ghetto.

pep boys has the edelbrock pro-flo but 5-1/8th necks and the adapters they have dont fit i tried with and without the screen.

p.s. im gonna do a comp test cause i have a busted e valve what should the pressures be around for an 88 with 84;459 mi and a fresh full tune up.

No I had to modify the proflow to fit.
I think the stock keihin neck is 3.5"


The proflow was a great filter though. worth the effort.

Keep the stock rubber gasket that was on the stock air cleaner and use it on the proflow.
- It takes up some of the gap increaseing the 3.5" so You can run a larger opening
- It helps the air cleaner clear the float adjustment screw and float vent valves.
- It helps create a tight seal.


Search hardware stores for PVC rubber connecotrs because those can be found in 4" diameter which also helps take up the gap.

The first time I cut the base of the proflow which was the wrong way. I should have just built up a nice rubber mounting base and set the proflow on top... you may need to trim the curved bit or bend it some. if the filter sits too high.

It's been a while, I wish I took pics when I had it on.

where's the stock rubber bumper??

its on the stock aircleaner, it is the rubber donut ring that gets mashed by the metal screen that bolts onto the carb.

i found some sort of intake adapter that will fit but my only question isnow where you put the intake ir sensor, the as silencer the snsorswith the filter bx and where can you use the carb stud to hold it in place.
