I helped 2drSE-i Install some parts

2drSE-i got some suspension parts and needed a little help installing them. Koni struts on all 4 corners, tokico springs, justins front strut bar (didn't fit quit right, but we made it), and rear ST sway bar. We didn't get to install the front sway bar, due to my lack of energy and time . Also justins rear strut bar didn't fit at all, I think 2drSE-i will need to talk to him about that.

Good work. What did you set the stiffness to? I set my Koni's to about 60% (like 4 out of 6 clicks) firmness. I think they still would ride nice even at 100% stiffness. I was afraid that I was going to have a bouncy car. But even at 60% they're still firm enough that they handle excellent.

    Looks real nice man.
Where did you source those konis? Did you buy em new or off a member used?

I remember when I first installed my konis I adjusted them to medium and then full hard and was in love.

it felt so great compared to the old struts i wasn running.

But yeah looks real good and I bet it handles great.

Steve....The ebrake cables on the rear calipers dont mount to the knuckle at all. Theyre only connected at the caliper and then at the middle of the trailing arms towards the bottom, and then to the underbody.

I know they are not technically connected to the knuckle, but thats where I need the pic. I need it in the area behind the disc how it runs around the strut area.

yeah where did you get those konis? they look new

i have mine set 1/2 a turn from stiffest which is where the instructions said to put them unless u wanted them softer.. though now that they're broken in i notice a lil body roll so maybe i should adjust them (or get some better sway bars eventually )

Re: I helped 2drSE-i Install some parts

ah so bump, i took pics but not in the mood to upload them atm

installed the front swaybar today.....thing was a BITCH. got the old one out no problem at all.......getting the new one in...wow

so legend was talking me through installing it, and he let me know that i would probably have to drop my exhaust to get the old one out. When i got it out without dropping the exhaust i got really excited, cuz i had only been at it like...20 mins.

well i spend the next 30 minutes trying and trying to fit that sucker in there...no way.

long story short, 3 hours, 2 bleeding elbows, 1 dropped exhaust, and two 14mm bolts stuck in two deep seat sockets (now i get why you used wrenches haha) i have my front ST Swaybars installed.

maybe i should start my own suspension thread. ive been very seriously thinking about doing the front GSR Caliper/Legend rotor mod, since, as we both know, my front pads are getting thin
