just an update,started wet sanding the hood today hoping to spray it monday. will be sprayed apart from the rest of the car. here is the spraying sequence: hood both sides and hood scoop,then black under the trim and spoiler, rear trim piece under taillights,rest of car and door frames
i am using 3m dry guide coat for the wet sanding guide coat.
after you put your primer on you rub this on your primer,it gets into the orange peel surface of the primer and is waterproof. when you wet sand,you sand until the black disappears,then you have a perfect surface. this removes all the guess work out of wet sanding and shows even the smallest imperfection. i will try and take some pictures this weekend when we do some more
