high beam flasher circuit?

hey some of my books say there is a flash to pass feature and some say there isn't one/ if there is one there is supposed to be a relay somewhere. mine doesn't work if there is one. any ideas? I have an 86 dx with an 89 lxi combo switch. if there is one where is the relay specifically and what color is the output wire in the harness so I can test the switch for voltage output. If I can get it to work,I was going to rig a 555 timer circuit,so one pull of the handle would automatically cause the light doors to open,then pulling it again would allow you to flash the lights. the doors would automatically close after a predetermined amount of time.

it's plugged in on the back side of the fuse box if I remember right, I have a spare box and there are 3 other relays on the backside
