Really, i dont even notice the need to shift, just happens naturally. Ive delivered pizza in some pretty bad traffic in my old 3gee. Had an autotragic 3gee once, trans lasted 6months of pizza driving. Bought my 4 door and the slipping clutch and two bad drive axels lasted 40k, and all mostly pizza driving! Also one more plus or the manual... you never need jumper cables!

5speed is second nature to me and really dont notice at all when im shifting to the gears. as for some people that complain or say driving in traffic sucks its true but you learn how to drive in traffic with a 5speed that may cause major wear on the parts. I vote for Manuel as its fun to drive, better gas mileage(depends on how you drive) and you have more control of the car then what you have in a Auto.
