oil change

hey guys i found this site and i need some help i did a search for how many quarts to put in my mom 86 accord and i couldn't find anything. help me please how many quarts does it take its a 86 accord lx carb

It's actually about 3.7 quarts, but four is probably close enough.

I did read my owner's manual. It says 3.7 quarts.

For 198,000 miles I have been using 3 quarts plus 2/3 of the fourth quart. Fills it right up the full mark.

drain the old oil, take the old filter out. putt some oil in a new filter, putt about 2.5Q in the engine. start the engine (make sure you tight the oil drain plug and you have new filter on).
start the engine, let it run for about a minute. shut it off and check the oil level.
the last time i putt 3Q it was too much.
