OBD 1 or 2 or none for B20B swap ?

im lookin at b20b blocks, and i found one thats OBD, what is this is and will it work with our accords ? and i only want the b20B block correct, the resta the stuff comes from the b16a head like water pump n shit ? thanks

lol my bad i kinda forgot that, im pickin up another 89 lxi 5 speed, wanna drop in a b20b/b16 head/b16 or gsr trans. But someof the shit im lookin at says OBD1 or OBD2 or pre OBD on it, what parts liek this do i want or can i use ? And when doing a crvtec do i use the water pump n some other shit (idk waht) from a b16 or from a b20 ? i know its not as easy as pick n put together. thanks

all B20B/Z's are obd2. so if you use a B20 harness you have to get an adapter for the ECU, cuz you want an OBD1 ecu.

99% sure the water pump is the same as the VTEC, but you absolutely want a VTEC oil pump and belt.

if you are just collecting parts then take your time. there is a lot to this swap.


look around b20vtec.com. there is also crvtec.com but its dead right now.

theres a couple blocks on ebay now for around 300, check it out, what else did u use, the b16 or b18 head, and r u using the gsr trans ?
