Update on my 3geez new pics n info

Well I got the engine back in and I was at about 142 miles to this tank n engine and I was just cruising at 65-70 on my way back from indian on 70 and well I was in 5th gear cruising and I lost the gear rpms went up and had no grip then I hear a huge clunk and I downshifed and same thing happened to fourth and then I went to third and it was grinding bad so I stopped n looked and nothing had fallen off so it was internal so I got off the highway slowley and well had it towed and yesterday I pulled 5spd tranny off a car like mine n got it for $125!! Score! well heres some pics

No cruise anymore (never worked B4)



No black box or emission (Barbone carb stage 4 removal)

I have great luck at my local junkyard. I really doubt the tranny would be bad its hard to blow a 5spd tranny and plus I shifted through all the gears while it was off and still in the car and it felt great. too bad I couldnt have test drove it lol. it had no battery or they wouldve let me.

they let me and my buddy drive his truck back into the yard and I had jack, stands, and plenty of tools, and we had it out in about 2 hours without pulling the engine. the hardest part was all the suspension was rusted together and I couldnt hardley get any of the suspension apart.

I hurt the donor 3geez's drivers fender badley lol

Very nice. You don't need to pull the engine to remove the tranny. I know i didn't when i replaced my clutch, you jsut need a set of helping hands.

yes your right n it functions good! I am gonna touch it up and make it look better.
and the wires where the black box was well those were there before I removed the box and they are not long enough to make right so I gotta do something about it...they were ran around the black box

good work , i wanna remove as much as i can from my engine bay, but i wanna keep all the goodies lol

also good work on the vacuum removal life is much easier without it

dude my car did the same thing but it was an automatic... so weird... but we couldnt find a decent auto tranny cause they were all fucked up so we had to rebuild ours

lol not only did i pay 57 for my second 5speed tranny but i just got a motor and another tranny for 50 lol deals for wheels lol have u noticed a dif with the cc and ac disconnected dose it seem to have a little more pep

Well see I removed all of that and did the rebuild at the same time but it has hella acceleration now though. but I cant say if the AC and vac removal did anything cuz I cant compare a good running engine with all of it and without all of it
