I've put manuel chokes on fords chevys vw's mopars. I've been driving my 3-g for a good while now and I'm impressed with the choke. I'd go to boneyard and get some carbs off some 3-gs try them on till one is a keeper.

put a return spring on the choke linkage... there isn't much room though... then run a cable the the same linkage to operate the choke.

you can buy manual choke conversions at auto stores....there should be a kit to fit the choke on our cars...i would think of putting one on mine too...the choke pisses me off some days.

Yeah I have that cable and linkage set... I but I used it to controll the TV linkage... it's really bad but cool to have your car hold a gear... like a manual trans would.

    scrap the manual choke..........

I agonized over the same problem all summer, last month I just put a used carb on, I delayed doing it 'cause there just seemed to be too many damned cables and hoses. It turnrd out to be easier than it seems, just take off your old carb and put a used junk yard one on..........
