    O2 Sensor advice

    ok wondering,

do our cars have one or two O2 sensors, it seems whenever i look at my manifold I see one O2 sensor protruding out of it.

I fear its malfunction as lately my fuel economy has DROPPED, the car has been fully tuned, valve adjustment, new fuel filter and all that ,

but my exhaust smells REALLLY bad,!!

now ive also read that swapping O2 wires can increase performance or something?

    need some advice

sweet, how about the wiring, modifying and whether or not it is registering correctly?

i feel my fuel mixture is running way to rich, and the horrid and overpowering smell of my exhaust seems to point to that.

    Adjust the fuel/air mixture screw.
It's a black screw btw or add more air like a K&N filter.

chris, change your O2 sensor. don't adjust anything.
you can get O2 sensor for cheap.
if your car was fine and not it is getting low performance i would say change your O2 sensor.

Eh, dont they have two sensors? I had an engine warning light come on a while back for my secondary O2 sensor... but i think the secondary is near the back of the exhaust

Actually, 86-87 EFI use one, 86-89 carbed uses one, and 88-89 EFI use two.
