for carb, i say ram air, get the air in there as fast as posible

nice dome filter so air can come in from the top down Ram air would be a plus... only in cold weather do you need to consider having some for of heated air going to the carb.

i beleave carbs respond better to hot air as to cold air throw a ram in there and then butcher your hood so cold air gets in something that matches the body lines and itll cool the engine carparment down a bit
