knocking?

is knocking a common problem with the a20a. i just bought a 88 dx for 100 bucks, guy say it has a knock. where should i look to fix it. Rod bearings? Head? i'm probably gonna build a budget all motor car. cbr motorcycle carbs anyone. thanks for your input.

yea its common. first just try some higher octane fuel like 89 or 91 these older cars like the higher octane and see if that fixes it!

yeah mine runs fine with 89 put if i go lower then that. i can barely here it knocking. not like u can notice it but i know my car. see but my friends car needs 92 or esle it knocks hell of bad. so try 90 or so see if it works.
